Clarence is one of 10,043 pets that came into PACC as strays in 2024. #DYK PACC data shows that 63% of lost dogs in Pima County are found LESS THAN A MILE from their home?! That means that the majority of stray dogs found in Pima County are very, very close to home. We also know that only about a third of dogs that come into PACC as strays are reclaimed by their owner. If you find a stray dog who appears friendly and healthy today, please keep them in their neighborhood and try to find their owner! Hanging up flyers, walking the dog around the neighborhood, and posting on neighborhood social media groups is MUCH more likely to get the pet home than bringing them here.
