Friends!! Please save the date and plan on joining us October 27th! I will finally get to share with you the special project Oliver and I got to be part of, and at the same time, have the opportunity to raise money for two of the nonprofit organizations that are part of our story! How cool is that?!
Your support means A LOT! If you can’t be there in person, but still want to show some love, I am collecting raffle donations (and can give you a 501c3 letter for tax write offs). ? of the proceeds raised from this event will benefit PACC’s foster program and TMC’s Pet therapy.

Week in Review #183
The theme this week seemed to be about closing a chapter and starting the next. No, not the BIG NEXT CHAPTER. More on that later.
But rather I was focused on the 14 (14!) summer law clerks we had with us and who were readying themselves to return to their next year in law school.
Thanks to the mad-dash, mad-cap hiring frenzy that happens in February, our team chose wisely. (See ballroom hiring hilarity pictured here with Criminal Chief Josh Moser and Major Crimes Chief Mark Hotchkiss delighting over the embarrassment of riches to choose from on that fateful day.) The 12 law students who joined us in the Criminal Division and two in Civil were absolutely brilliant, excited, and inspired future attorneys who are also genuinely kind souls.
We huddled yesterday, so I could hear what we could have done better (more assignments? Seriously guys?) And what went well.
They seemed credibly joyful. They adored all the attorneys they met, the mentoring they received, the field trips they took - even the in-progress autopsy - and the growth they achieved.
To Bill Brammer, Sam Walker, and James Rappaport, a huge congratulations on the program you continue to build.
As the law students go back to school, eleven San Miguel High School freshmen will join us one day a week to begin their own professional development. And more on that extraordinary program soon as well.
At the People’s Office, we serve ALL of Pima County, including youth.
By centering and empowering those in their 20s, and now those in their teens, we continue to advance our goal of serving all and being informed by all.
To be continued...

It’s #FosterFriday! We want to introduce you to a very very special gentleman sweet Bananas. ? Learn more about him: "My name is Bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Did you sing the song? My friends at HSSA sing it to me all the time, and I absolutely love it! I’m a 5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier, and when people first meet me, they can't help but notice what a handsome hunk of love I am, always craving your attention. My goofiness is my best attribute—I'm a total clown! The secret to winning my heart? Just rub my ears, and I'll be putty in your hands. I can't wait to be your next best friend! As you can probably tell, I'm a 100% certified couch potato. My second favorite activity, right after lounging, is giving kisses to my humans. I do need to be your one and only pet, but trust me, I've got enough love to fill your whole home. Do I sound like the perfect match for you? Contact us at 520-327-6088 ext. 173 or at adoptions@hssaz.org."
Help me find my loving home by sharing this post! If you are not quite ready for the commitment of adoption, we are always in need of foster parents, please call our Foster Care team at 520-327-6088 ext. 148. Learn about our foster program here ? https://bit.ly/3a4K0dH

126 dogs came into PACC this weekend, most of them strays. 12 are pictured here. As you can see, these pups run the gamut, from purebreds to small fluffies to the pitties. Any dog - ANY DOG - can be lost, and it's their family's responsibility to make sure they're prepared for that inevitability.
Check gates and doors every time you let your dog out. This quick check can make all the difference. Open gates and doors are the #1 way pets get lost.
Be sure your pet is wearing a collar and tag with up-to-date info, and if you don't have a tag, come get one at PACC for FREE any time we're open.
Is your pet microchipped? Make sure it's registered and up-to-date. You can do this for FREE at https://mypethealth.com/auth/signup/step...=microchip....
If your pet is here at PACC, please come get them ASAP. We can't say it enough: We WANT your pet to be at home and not in the overcrowded shelter. See all found dogs here: https://24petconnect.com/PimaStrays?at=D...ays_MinMax.
And don't forget - if you find or lose a pet, use lost.petcolove.org. Their image recognition technology is responsible for getting tens of thousands of lost pets home quickly, easily, and for free.
We have 577 dogs in our facility today, which is 127 dogs PAST what we call critical capacity. We desperately need your help getting these dogs home and finding adoptive and foster homes for the pets in our care. We're open from noon to 7 p.m. today - please come see us.
