A year ago today, Shadowfell first set paw at PACC.
In the year since, he's watched the four seasons and countless adoption events pass by from his kennel, and he's still waiting for his family to - finally - find him. In the past year, he's spent one night outside of the shelter, when he was adopted in March and then returned within a day, despite reports that he did well with young children and small dogs in the home.
We could tell you all about Shadowfell and why he deserves a family just as great as he is after his long wait in the shelter, but instead we'll let some of his biggest fans share their experiences. Here are some volunteer and public reviews of Shadowfell (spoiler: he gets a 10/10):
? “Shadowfell is a fun pup. Very social, very friendly, and loves attention. He’ll hop right in your lap if you let him, likes to give kisses, and loves being petted and scratched. He enjoys exploring the play yard and interacts well with his shy kennelmate. An energetic, happy dog!”
? “Shadowfell is very energetic and is still very puppy like. He listens very well to corrections and his focus is impeccable- he is very smart. He knows a great sit already and learned down within minutes today; he seemed to enjoy learning new skills.”
? “Shadowfell is a very sweet, chill dog. He’s happy to go on a walk/ jog, but also happy to be on the couch. Seems potty trained and no accidents in the house when he had access to the backyard. Really good at fetch and likes toys more than balls. He knows “sit” and walked well on the leash.”
? “Shadowfell loves treats- he’ll do anything for food! He is a very smart boy, is great in the car, and loves running!”
? “Shadowfell is very good with people and very good on walks. Also LOVES to run!”
? “Shadowfell only took about five minutes to warm up, then was super cuddly and always checking in on us. He is sweet and gentle. He loves pup cups (but is not fan of peanut butter) and loved hiking. He loves to do zoomie runs/rolls in the grass and loves tummy rubs, and gives lots of kisses. Overall best boy who would be an amazing family dog!”
Shadowfell (A828051, 4 years old) did well in his most recent playgroup evaluation. He'd like to meet any potential doggy roommates before heading home to make sure it's a good fit for everyone involved. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and FREE to adopt.
Please come meet this special boy and make today the last day he spends in our shelter. ? #12LongStaysOfChristmas

I'm a mellow and loving feline, perfect for anyone looking for a snuggly companion. I’ve already shown my foster parent that I warm up quickly—within just two hours of being in a home, I was enjoying pets and eating happily!
