Meet our little holiday elf: Myrtle! (Full disclosure: the elf photoshoot was not going to happen, so we had to improvise.) ??
Our gal Myrtle came to us as a stray back in September, and she immediately made it pretty clear that she wasn't a fan of shelter life. That's why we were over the moon when a kind foster finally gave her a chance to show us what she's like in a home - and with the best results! ?
Myrtle's foster reported that this special girl thrives on affection and will happily snuggle in your lap, purring away the day. Once comfortable, she’s an affectionate "Velcro kitty" who loves attention and will brighten your home with her endearing "squeaky meows" when she wants food or cuddles. ?
We did also learn from the foster that Myrtle would be happiest as an only pet, but we think she's cute and snuggly enough to be all you'll ever need. Myrtle is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and FREE to adopt. She's now back in the shelter, and we really want this kitty to be in a home, where she is happiest. Please come meet this sweet 'n' sassy girl if you're ready to bring a little spice and a lot of love into your life ? #12LongStaysOfChristmas
It’s #FosterFriday, and we want to introduce you to a very special gentleman, the one and only Tig! ? Learn more about him:
"Hi, I’m Tig! I’m a distinguished 7-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of loyalty and devotion. I’m fully housetrained and have a great track record of getting along with cats, though I prefer to be the only dog in the home so I can soak up all your love and attention. I’m the perfect companion if you enjoy calm, leisurely strolls around the neighborhood and value a quiet yet protective presence. I take my role as a natural watchdog seriously, always keeping a watchful eye to make sure my family feels safe and secure. With my gentle demeanor and steadfast nature, I’m ready to bring love and companionship to a special home. Could that home be yours? Come meet me today! ?❤️"

BRR... It's cold out there! Nanook here got ❄️snug as a pittie bug❄️ in his winter coat and has some tips to share for the cold weather! ?
❄️ First thing’s first, pals—keep your pups inside when it's chilly! It's the safest way to protect our fluffy butts from freezing temperatures. Brrrr!
❄️ Older pets, like our senior friends, are extra sensitive to the cold. Keep 'em cozy inside and all bundled up!
❄️ Oh, and don’t forget to tap the car hood before starting it up! Little critters, like sneaky kitties, love to hide there to stay warm.
❄️ If you or any of your furriends need help with supplies to stay warm, call the Pet Support Center at 520-724-7222. We got you covered! ?
Neglect calls, including pets left out in freezing overnight temperatures without shelter, are high priority for our Animal Protection Services team. If you see this, please report it to APS dispatch at 520-724-5900 ext. 4 ASAP.

Meet Princess Tuck Tuck, a beautiful 7-year-old Tortoiseshell with a sweet and easygoing personality. Some interesting reading on Social Security and Unemployment Compensation. Most people are running scared from what Elon Musk is saying about cutting Social Security, but people need to know it is up to Congress to make any changes, and that requires a 290 House Vote, a 67 Senate vote to pass a bill to make any changes. Medicare may be a different, and any propose cuts will most likely send it up to the Supreme Court.
Great news: PACC is partnering with The Humane Society of Southern Arizona to host another FREE vaccine, microchip, and wellness event NEXT Wednesday, December 11 at PACC‼️

This holiday season, we'll be featuring our #12LongStaysOfChristmas, 12 of PACC's longest-stay pets who are hoping for a home for the holidays - and beyond. ??Everyone loves sweets around the holidays, so there's no better time to meet Caramel! ?
Caramel is a super affectionate middle-aged guy who lived in one home his whole life prior to coming to the shelter. His former person said that he does well with kids and described him as a playful boy who loves toys and likes car rides. Our volunteers describe him as "An incredibly nice dog who is easy to leash, easy to walk and just wants to be close to a person getting pets and giving kisses." ?
Caramel, A843628, is six years old. He has done well with other dogs since arriving at the shelter and would like to meet any potential doggy friends before going home. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and FREE to adopt. Come meet him today and give this boy a home for the holiday! ? #LongStaySunday #Fostering
